About Us

Ulfah Salie

I graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BSc in Speech- Language Pathology.
I completed my community service year at the Carel du Toit Centre, a school for children who are hearing impaired - where an auditory verbal approach is taken. I have experience managing children with a range of medical diagnoses and hearing impairment in collaborative teams.I was also fortunate to be part of outreach programmes in underprivileged communities in Cape Town. My interest in the school-aged population and working with Learners with Special Education Needs (LSEN) grew since. Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) has always been an area of great interest to me and I have great experience in this area.

I work with children and adults with a range of communication disorders which may include or result in speech and language impairments, language & learning difficulties, acquired neurological disorders and swallowing difficulties.

I aim to include individuals who are significant in the lives of my clients, in their intervention. I enjoys all areas of practice as a speech therapist and wish to grow my knowledge and experience therein.

I am passionate about my community and in my spare time I enjoy enriching experiences which help me grow as an individual and better my contribution to society.

I graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2016 and completed my community service year at Khayelitsha District Hospital. I enjoyed working with the in patients as well as the community. The experience was inspiring and confirmed my passion for this field.

I enjoy working with both paediatric and adult clients who present with a range of speech, language and swallowing disorders.

I am a fun loving person that will always treat my clients with respect and dignity.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends when I am not working. I therefore understand how distressing it can be if someone close to you needs help.
